Fund Performance
UAE | EOSB Fund Performance | JULY 2026
Markets remained volatile, but YTD performance held up across most EOSB fund categories.
By Nisha Braganza
Starting this month, Vestora will share a monthly overview of fund performance across the official EOSB Plans in the UAE together.
Instead of monthly movements, Year-to-Date (YTD) and 1Y performance will be presented to avoid over-interpreting short-term volatility. As EOSB contributions are invested regularly over time, longer-term performance is more relevant than any single month’s return.
Fund-level performance covering other time periods will soon be available on our website.
Fund Performance in July 2026
Markets remained volatile, but YTD performance held up across most EOSB fund categories.
Looking at DEWS and GO SAVER in the DIFC:
- Fixed income was among the most affected. Bond markets were pressured by higher yields during the month, as oil prices and geopolitical risks kept inflation concerns elevated. When yields rise, prices of existing bonds generally fall as newer bonds offer more attractive yields.
- US equities had a mixed month but remained firmly positive YTD, ranging from +9.2–10.9%. The S&P 500 was almost flat in July, while the Nasdaq Composite fell 3.2% reportedly driven by volatility in selective stocks.
- Indian equities, available under GO SAVER, gained as both Nifty 50 and Sensex were up ~2% in July. YTD and 1Y returns are still negative as earlier losses have not yet fully reversed.
- Diversified funds, which combine multiple asset classes, dipped slightly in July but YTD returns remain strong, ranging from +4.2-12.8%. These funds account for around +80% of DEWS savings and ~1/3 of GO SAVER savings.
- Money market funds continued to deliver relatively stable returns, with YTD performance ranging from +1.4-2.1%.
Note: GO SAVER fund performance is net of ongoing charges but not administration fees. An additional 1.0% per annum is charged to plan members for all investment options, except the Capital Protected Fund.
The UAE EOSB Savings Scheme (Federal Scheme)
Compared with DIFC, the fund range of the UAE EOSB Savings Scheme (Federal Scheme) is still developing as the scheme is relatively new. Most providers currently offer capital-protected options, while only Ghaf Benefits currently offers risk-based funds. The fund offering is expected to grow over time as more investment options are introduced and more providers enter the market.
Fund performance data is also not consistently published. Most of these funds complete their first full year of operation in the second half of 2026, so we expect more consistent disclosures in the coming months.
Going forward, this EOSB Fund Performance overview will be published by Vestora every month covering market movements and the latest information on EOSB funds.
